Who We Serve
We work primarily with retirees, those five years from retirement into five to ten years post-retirement. Main strategies include:
- Helping with a combination of retirement income strategies
- Coordinating portfolios with the timing of when to take social security
- How to best incorporate Medicare
- Tax advantaged strategies
- Partial roth conversion strategies
For clients who will accumulate more than they need for retirement we also assist with estate management strategies to include charitable giving and trusts.
Jessica M. Champion joined Michael Roberts and Associates in 2017. She began her financial career with MetLife, where she developed personalized plans and solutions for young professionals in the financial field. She graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Master’s of Science in Teaching from Le Moyne College. Jessica’s role as wealth manager is to provide clients with comprehensive financial planning and investment management services, allowing them to make prudent, well-informed decisions about their financial future. She has personal experience with international student travel, 401K planning, Traditional and Roth IRA setup and strategies, as well as life insurance and is a Retirement Income Certified Professional. She resides in Chittenango with her husband, four children, two cats, and a fish.
Dave is a financial consultant who brings over twenty years of experience. Dave has a strong insurance background, serving as past President of the Syracuse Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors, Inc. After graduating from LeMoyne College with a degree in Industrial Relations, Dave served in the US Army. He is also the former Town Councilman for the Town of Onondaga and former Onondaga County Legislator. He and his wife, Maureen, have three children and reside in Camillus. David is a baby boomer with personal experience dealing with Social Security, Medicare, long-term care, and assisted living facilities.

“Plan A” is a term we use to describe a customized financial planning process that incorporates your values and financial wherewithal.
Your plan is delivered over a series of strategy meetings using interactive online software, custom schedules and reports, engaging discussions about your options, and follow-up emails with written action steps.
We offer a complimentary introductory meeting. Prior to our introductory meeting we ask that you complete our questionnaire so we can hit the ground running at our first meeting.
Once you have gone through our planning process, and decide you wish us to manage your investible assets as well as provide financial advice on how to maximize their use, you can become an A+ client.
As an A+ client you can call us anytime with questions on anything that has to do with you and your money. We help you stay on top of all aspects of your financial life and coordinate with your other professionals such as CPAs, attorneys, mortgage brokers and insurance agents as needed.
